How do I send email to all students in one section of a course?

Note: These instructions are for faculty.

If you would like to send e-mail to all students in ONE section of a given course, format the email address as follows: 
section-subjectcode-coursenumber-sectionnumber-@lists.rowan.edu

For example, if you want to send an email to all students in a course section of Computer Literacy, you can look it up in the Rowan Global Section Tally to get the course information you need (see example below). You would then then address your e-mail to: section-cs-01100-3@lists.rowan.edu

Note:

  • Instructors can also send messages to specific or all students in a course using the Conversations tool
  • Instructors can post an announcement in their course for all students using the Announcements tool
