How do I issue an incomplete for a student?
Posted by Anna Wright on 22 November 2016 01:12 PM

Note: These instructions are for faculty.

An incomplete in an online course is the same as a face-to-face course. Faculty should consult with their department chair regarding this matter for guidance on the best option.

Rowan Global faculty and students will continue to have access to their current course(s) for 90 days after the last day of class. After 90 days, the course will be archived and removed from the system. Courses will only be extended past the 90 days if necessary for a grade challenge, incomplete with a documented hardship or related circumstance. Typically, the University will allow an incomplete if there is a documented hardship. If the student needs access to the materials for more than 90 days in order to complete the work, Rowan Global requires documentation in order to justify keeping the course in the system for more than 90 days after the course ends.

Forms can be found on the Registrar's website at: http://www.rowan.edu/provost/registrar/EnteringFinalGrades.html

If an incomplete is issued, faculty should sent a copy of the documented hardship to the Director of Rowan Online, preferably in electronic format (i.e. PDF file).
